The 4 Bomb Defusal maps

Bomb Defusal is the signature game mode of the Sudden Attack series. In SAZ, the rules have been reworked into a format of two best-of-5 sets with attack and defense swapping between them. The C4 plant areas now have visual indicators, making it easier for both attackers and defenders to track the plant spots.

3rd Supply Base

A remastered map that keeps the strategic elements and structural balance of the original while completely refreshing the visuals. According to the developer notes, feedback from earlier tests included comments such as "the wide open areas and multiple elevation layers make for dynamic fights" and "it encourages team coordination and feels more tense than TDM".

Provence

Another remaster that carries over the strategic depth of the original. It feels larger than the other maps, with plenty of buildings and objects that serve as cover, creating frequent opportunities for strategic play. The wooden gate on the central route can be penetrated by bullets, enabling mind games built around wallbangs.

Cross Port

An intricate map where numerous small paths connect to the main routes. Testers from earlier playtests said "tactical play with smokes and flashbangs is a lot of fun", and how you use your throwables can decide the round. It is one of the hardest of the 6 maps to learn, so we recommend memorizing the layout in Deathmatch (Bot) first.

Metro

A brand-new Bomb Defusal map making its debut in the Final CBT. It is set inside a subway station complex. We will update this article with details on its layout and routes as they become clear during the CBT.

The 2 CQB-focused Team Deathmatch maps

Both Team Deathmatch maps are designed specifically for close-quarters battle (CQB). They are also great for practicing gunfights and warming up.

Warehouse

A warehouse map known as a Team Deathmatch staple in the original Sudden Attack. We will update this article with the details of the SAZ version's changes as they are confirmed during the CBT.

Korean Folk Village

Like Metro, this is a new Team Deathmatch map added for the Final CBT. The map introduced in the Japanese press release under a localized village name appears to correspond to Korean Folk Village in the English announcement. It is a village setting built for close-range fights; we plan to add details in our CBT play report.

Training content is also well covered

Separate from the PvP maps, two types of practice content are available.

  • Shooting Range: a free-form solo practice space with no set course. Ideal for checking weapon and parts behavior and dialing in your sensitivity. It is also a good place to try out weapon customization
  • Deathmatch (Bot): Team Deathmatch against AI opponents. Useful for learning map layouts and warming up your aim before real matches

Maps expected in future updates

The sixth developer note from January 2026 announced that a new Bomb Defusal map called City Cat was in development alongside Metro. Since City Cat is not part of the Final CBT lineup, it is expected to arrive at or after the official launch. We will update this article as soon as new information comes in.
