The Final Closed Beta Test (CBT) for Sudden Attack Zero Point (SAZ) ran from Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM JST to Monday, July 13 at 6:59 PM JST. There was no lottery — everyone who signed up via the "Request Access" button on the Steam store page was able to play. On the same day the test ended, Nexon announced that Steam Early Access begins on Thursday, July 30, 2026. See the release date and Early Access roundup for details.

SAZ is a remaster of the original Sudden Attack, which launched in 2005 and was also live in Japan from 2007 to 2019. This Final CBT is positioned as the last large-scale test before the game's official release.

How to join | Steam sign-up steps (closed)

Signing up was very simple and took about a minute as long as you had a Steam account.

  1. While logged in to Steam, open the Sudden Attack Zero Point store page (App ID 3576070)
  2. Click the "Request Access" button on the page
  3. Once your request is approved, "Sudden Attack Zero Point Playtest" is added to your library
  4. Download the client and launch it during the test period to play

Nexon has officially stated that everyone who completes sign-up during the recruitment period can participate — there is no lottery.

Requirements and eligible regions

You need a Steam account and a PC that can run the game. Regarding regions, the official wording is that you can participate by signing up from an eligible region, but no specific list of countries or regions has been published. Sign-ups from Japan work without issue via the Steam store page. We will update this article once the eligible regions are confirmed during the CBT.

In-game events during the test

The following in-game events have been announced for the CBT period.

  • Daily login event: log in to receive SP (currency) and Key Cards
  • Playtime event: earn SP based on your total playtime
  • Match win event: receive Epic Skin Parts Crates based on your win count
  • Black Market event: exchange Event Tokens for rewards

When is the official release?

On July 13, 2026 — the final day of the CBT — Nexon announced that Early Access begins on Steam on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The game is free-to-play and offers content equivalent to the CBT, with the Black Market's trading features also unlocked.
