Sudden Attack Zero Point (SAZ) features crates that contain weapon parts, along with the key cards and SP used to open them. This article explains what's inside crates and how to open them, where key cards and SP come from, and what to spend SP on — all with in-game screenshots.

What are crates? | Boxes containing weapon customization parts

A crate is a box that, when opened, gives you customization parts (attachments) for a specific weapon. Each weapon has its own dedicated crate — for example, the in-game description of the "MP5 Crate" (rarity RARE) reads "Obtain MP5 parts of Rare or higher" (confirmed in-game).
The obtainable-items list showed skin-type parts such as "Black Skin Parts," "Blud Skin Parts," and "Red Skin Parts." Parts you obtain can be equipped on the weapon customization screen — see our Weapon Customization System guide for how parts work.
How to open crates | One key card or 100 SP
There are two ways to open a crate (confirmed in-game).
| Method | Cost |
|---|---|
| Use a key card | 1 key card |
| Use SP | 100 SP |
If you have a key card or enough SP, just pick the open button. Note that you also need to own the crate itself — with zero crates in your inventory, the screen shows "You have no crates" and nothing can be opened.
Where key cards, SP, and crates come from
During the CBT, the "Final CBT OPENING Event" is the source of all three: key cards, SP, and the crates themselves. The daily check-in gives a key card plus SP every day (5 key cards and 35,000 SP for a full run), and the win-count rewards hand out 4 Sandstorm Crates. See our Final CBT OPENING Event guide for the schedule and claiming tips.
What to spend SP on | Opening crates and buying characters
SP has two main uses.
- Opening crates: 100 SP per opening
- Buying characters: 600 SP each in the item shop
With the 35,000 SP from a full event check-in run, you can buy all 6 shop characters (3,600 SP) outright and still have 31,400 SP left — enough for over 300 crate openings. You will almost never be short on SP during the CBT, so spend freely on the characters and crates you want.
Summary
- Crates are boxes containing customization parts for a specific weapon (e.g., the MP5 Crate gives MP5 parts of Rare or higher)
- Opening one takes 1 key card or 100 SP, and you must own the crate itself
- Key cards, SP, and crates all come from the Final CBT OPENING Event
- SP can also be spent on characters (600 SP each)
