The Final Closed Beta Test (CBT) of Sudden Attack Zero Point (SAZ) ends at 18:59 JST on Monday, July 13, 2026. Here is a wrap-up of the records from the four-and-a-half-day test, which opened at 14:00 JST on Thursday, July 9, plus what happens between now and early access on Thursday, July 30.

Servers run until 18:59 JST on July 13

The Final CBT servers run until 18:59 JST on Monday, July 13. After that, matches can no longer be played, and "Sudden Attack Zero Point Playtest" in your Steam library will no longer launch. The end of the test is not the end of the game — the next chance to play is early access starting Thursday, July 30, open to everyone (release date and early access guide).

The Final CBT in numbers

Here are the main records we confirmed over the four-and-a-half-day test.

RecordNumberDetails
Peak concurrent players8,259Set on opening day, July 9 (SteamDB)
Weekend evening concurrents4,000–5,200 range5,206 on Saturday night, 4,205 on Sunday night (player count trend details)
Versus the original at its peakAbout halfRelative to the original Sudden Attack's all-time Japan peak of 17,000 concurrent players (2011)
Fastest run to the highest rankAbout 2.5 days from the startReached Supreme Commander with 24.2 hours of play (highest rank guide)
Typical rank reachedSecond Lieutenant tierThe site admin also finished at Second Lieutenant III after playing all four days

A sign-up-only, four-day test drawing about half the concurrent players of the original at its peak is a solid start for a reboot. The real launch comes with early access — free-to-play and open to everyone — and the player count right after release will be the first thing to watch.

Will items earned in the CBT carry over?

Whether the items, currency, and rank earned in the CBT will carry over to the early access build has not been officially confirmed. Closed-test data is usually reset, but we will update this article as soon as there is definitive information.

Next up: early access on Thursday, July 30

On the CBT's final day, July 13, Nexon announced that early access begins on Steam on Thursday, July 30, 2026. It is free-to-play with no sign-up required, offering the same content as the CBT plus unlocked Black Market trading. A 2026 roadmap covering Seasons 1–3 and the Vampire Mode rollout has also been published. See the release date and early access guide for details.

Everything we learned in the CBT

We published hands-on, verified guides throughout the CBT. Since the early access build shares the same foundation, they make great prep for launch.

Once early access begins, we will re-verify and update every article as fast as possible, building on what we confirmed in the CBT. Make sure to wishlist the game on Steam before release day.
